At a Glance: Balsamroot is a bright, tap rooted, wind tolerant perennial herb with fibrous roots; 15-47” tall, often found on Prairies and open slopes.
Leaves: Big, triangular, long-stalked, mostly basal leaves.
Flowers: Yellow ray flowers, 10-20 wedge-shaped petals, shallowly toothed to nearly smooth. Yellow & brown hemispheric center disk. Blooms Spring & Summer
