At a Glance: Common camas is a perennial, stout, robust, 12-28 inches (30-70 cm) tall plant with a dense light to deep bluish-purple inflorescence. Camas seed takes 3-5 years to reach maturity and flower.
Leaves: The leaves are long and narrow, grass-like, and emerge from the base.
Flowers: Common camas flowers are light to deep blueish-purple; The inflorescence is a spike-like cluster borne on a leafless stem
