Grand Fir is a towering evergreen of moist forests, recognized by its fragrant, flat, dark green needles with two white bands underneath and smooth, gray bark.

Bundle of 25

At a Glance: Tall, straight, stately evergreen tree up to 260’ tall with greyish-brown bark, usually with white mottles. When young, the bark is smooth with resin blisters, becoming ridged & scaly w/age.

Leaves: 1-2” long, dark-green needles are flat with rounded & notched tips, in two distinct horizontal rows.

Cones: Grand Fir’s pollen cones are yellowish, and seed cones yellowish-green to green, cylindrical, erect, 2-4” long, high in the crown where they fall apart through the autumn.
