At a Glance: Perennial, tap-rooted native wildflower growing 8–30″ tall; erect, smooth stems arise from a thick taproot and become dormant by early summer.
Leaves: Finely divided into narrow segments, mostly basal with a few smaller stem leaves; blue-green and fern-like.
Flowers: Bright yellow flowers in broad, umbrella-shaped clusters (compound umbels); blooms April–June.
