At a Glance: Also called, Woolly Sunflower, this plant is in the aster family and is commonly found in dry, open habitats such as bluffs, rocky areas, and does well in more open areas.

Leaves: Pale green and somewhat “woolly”. The leaves are narrow and opposite.

Flowers: Bright yellow and open palm flowers. These bloom in summer.
