At a Glance: Sea Thrift is a cheerful tap-rooted perennial that can be found scattered along the coastline, on beaches and bluffs, and somewhat inland along riverbanks or in grassy meadows.
Leaves: All basal, in dense tufts, linear to narrowly lance-shaped, 2-4” long.
Flowers: Small pink to lavender flowers are numerous in head-like clusters w/ papery bracts shooting up from their tufted base on leafless stems, 5-17” tall; Blooms mid-spring.
