Bundle of 10

At a Glance: Twinberry is an erect to straggly green shrub that likes moist forest, clearings, streamside habitats, swamps and thickets. It grows from 1.5’ to 10’.

Leaves: Short-stalked, somewhat elliptical to broadly lance-shaped leaves grow opposite and are pointed, often hairy beneath.

Flowers: Yellow, tubular, 5-lobed flowers grow in pairs in leaf axils, cupped by large, green to purplish bracts.

Fruit: shiny black ‘twin’ berries are cupped by 2 pairs of deep purplish-maroon bracts.
